Finding a “good ___”

How does one go about deciding if a trusted professional is, indeed, trustworthy?

Is the mechanic good at what they do? Are the up-charging you?

Is the contractor good? Are they nickeling and diming you at every turn?

What about your lawyer? Your accountant? Your dentist? Your doctor?

It can be hard to know, outside of our personal experience communicating with them.

Not to mention the bottom line, the outcome and of course the price.

If the outcome is good, the process was not too painful and the bottom line was reasonable, it’s a win.

But sometimes its hard to know…such is the case with medicine, which is partly why it is so important to have sufficient time to get to know your doctor, understand and observe how they make decisions, how the glean from you the variables that not only make a good medical decision, but make a good medical decision for you.

The easy part in deciding is probably the cost - my pricing is straightforward - no co-pays, no deductibles and everything is laid out in our agreement. You have direct access to me, your doctor, via cell phone, video call, text message or in person exam. For a small additional fee ($100) I can visit you at your home nearby 91361.

As far as making a decision as to my medical knowledge and expertise, I can tell you that I attending a top US Medical School - Univeristy of Californiat at Davis, where I was my student body class president. I attended my family medicine residency with a full-scope training in rural Northern California and leared how to do just about everything, caring for everyone from pregnant women, newborn babies, young children, teenagers, young adults, parents and grandparents. I gave my grand rounds on the clinical assessment and treatment of alcoholism, and have since been board certified in both family medicine and in addiction medicine, helping people stop doing things they no longer wish to do. I have extensive training in surgery, dermatology, psychiatry, internal medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, pharmacology and genetics, pediatrics and obstretrics, gynecology and andrology, urology and pulmonology… to say nothing of the “on-the-job” training I have from ten years experience working for one of the largest health care systems on the west coast - UCLA. I have written technical academic papers on a variety of topics, including preventing heart attacks, the overlap of cancer and common symptoms, alcoholism, HIV/AIDS, end of life and the list goes on. I have been voted a “Super Doctor” by my peers, as someone who sets the bar high for professionalism and being the best physician I can be to the patients I have been called to serve.

If you are looking for an outstanding doctor, a true family physician, please consider scheduling an in person meet-and-greet with me and see for yourself.
